Drop-In Skates | ||||
The Town of Caledon offers a variety of drop-in skates including:
- A parent/guardian is required on ice to provide direct supervision. Parent/guardian's are required to wear single bladed ice skates. CSA approved hockey helmet with full-face cage/shield is strongly recommended for all skaters - Participants 9 years of age and younger must be supervised by a parent/guardian who is at least 14 years of age. Parent/guardian must always provide and maintain direct supervision - Participant to parent/guardian ratio is 3:1
Open leisure skate for participants of all ages and skating ability. Participants are asked to skate in the same direction as others. Single bladed ice skates and CSA approved hockey helmet with full-face cage/shield is strongly recommended for all skaters. - Participants 9 years of age and younger must be supervised by a parent/guardian who is at least 14 years of age. Parent/guardian must always provide and maintain direct supervision - Participant to parent/guardian ratio is 3:1 - Caregiver/parent/guardian is not required to pay if they are not participating on ice but must remain within the arena to visually supervise. Adult 18+ Skate: Open leisure skate for participants 18 years of age and older, all skating ability welcomed. Participants are asked to skate in the same direction as others. Single bladed ice skates and CSA approved hockey helmet with full-face cage/shield is strongly recommended for all skaters. Adult 55+ Skate: Open leisure skate for participants 55 years of age and older, all skating ability welcomed. Participants are asked to skate in the same direction as others. Single bladed ice skates and CSA approved hockey helmet with full-face cage/shield is strongly recommended for all skaters.
An informal pick-up game of hockey. Participants are to plan and organize game play themselves. - Body contact is not permitted. Organized game play and/or team practices are not permitted. Private lessons/coaching is not permitted - There will be no organized game play lead by a Town staff - Full hockey equipment, CSA approved hockey helmets and full-face cage/shield are strongly recommended for all skaters

Please note: All drop-in offerings may not be offered at each facility. Arena guidelines must be followed. No hockey or figure skating permitted. All drop-in programs are a first come first-serve basis for spots. It’s as simple as swiping your membership card at the scanning station or paying for your drop-in visit in-person. |

Skating lessons require pre-registration. All registrations must be completed online or by calling 905-584-2272 ext.7327. |
Withdrawals |
Should you wish to fully withdraw from your registered program, please send your request to recreation@caledon.ca. Alternatively, please contact Recreation Customer Service at 905-584-2272 ext.7327 and we will be happy to assist. |
