Road Closures

The lion’s share of proceeds from Caledon Council’s annual charitable golf tournament will this year go towards the renovation of a heritage property for use as supportive housing by local families with adult children who have intellectual or development disabilities.

Town of Caledon was awarded a bronze level designation, as a Bicycle Friendly Community (BFC) by Share the Road Cycling Coalition (STRCC) at the 10th Annual Ontario Bike Summit Awards on April 17, 2018. Caledon joins Brampton and Mississauga as a BFC, making Peel Region the second region in Ontario to have all of its local municipalities become BFC certified. The Town of Caledon has applied to the federal Smart Cities Challenge to connect Caledon residents to digital technology, each other and the world through “Smart Spaces.”

The Challenge encourages communities to imagine how they might improve the lives of residents through innovation, data and connected technology.  Winning communities will receive up to $10 million in funding to implement their plans.
