March 6, 2023 – Town of Caledon is seeing an increase in situations where roads and customer service staff are being harassed, abused and assaulted while working.  This weekend there were multiple incidents, in one case the OPP was contacted.

March 3, 2023 – The Town of Caledon has successfully prosecuted illegal trucking operator, 12501058 Canada Inc., resulting in a $45,000 fine and a prohibition order.

On February 16, 2023, after another attempt to delay the hearing was denied, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice heard the trial. In exchange for a guilty plea, the prosecution offered a reduced charge of $25,000. Town of Caledon 2023 Budget Approved

Town Council unanimously approved the 2023 budget at yesterday’s Council meeting.

The 2023 budget will have a tax rate increase of 2.39 per cent including the portion for the Region of Peel and school boards. The impact for the typical household will be approximately $130 a year.
