  • The Town is making aging in place a priority with the approval of the 2021-2031 Age-Friendly Caledon Action Plan to focus on meeting the needs of an aging population. COVID-19 Update
  • The Region of Peel is currently experiencing its highest rate of positive cases, continuously causing a strain on the health care system, particularly Intensive Care Units (ICU’s).
  • Additional measures have been put in place to address workplace transmissions.
  • The Region is meeting its vaccination targets, administering approximately 100,000 doses per week.

Corporate Response to COVID-19 and Mental Health
  • Dr. Lawrence Loh, Medical Officer of Health, Peel Public Health provided the following updates regarding the pandemic:
    • the variant strains are more easily transferred and come with severe symptoms and increased hospitalization,
    • lockdown measures are relaxing in municipalities that are in the grey-zone, allowing for outdoor activities and modified re-opening of personal care services as of April 12, 2021,
