Caledon presents first ever Accessibility Award for Business

The Town of Caledon today presented its inaugural Accessibility Award for Business to KeyKeeper, a manufacturer of secure night drop boxes and key drop boxes located in Bolton.

“Congratulations to Jonathan Weeden and the team at KeyKeeper,” said Mayor Allan Thompson.  “By creating a more inclusive and accessible workplace KeyKeeper is creating opportunity for people with disabilities to contribute. Tourism Week highlights the best of Caledon

The Town of Caledon marked the beginning of Tourism Week (May 27 to June 2, 2018) with a flag-raising ceremony at Town Hall on Monday, May 28, 2018.

“Tourism is an increasingly important part of our local economy,” said Mayor Allan Thompson.  “Tourism Week is a good opportunity to showcase the people and the places that make Caledon a distinctive destination.”

The Town of Caledon has partnered with Immanuel Christian Reformed Church to create a community garden to help beautify the Mayfield Recreation Complex, in honor of the Church’s 70th anniversary. Renovations plan set for an inclusive and accessible park

The Town of Caledon had partnered with Palgrave Rotary Club to renovate an existing park into a fully-inclusive and accessible play and gathering place for seniors, families and individuals with special needs. This project represents an $85,000 investment for which the Town of Caledon is contributing $45,000 and Palgrave Rotary Club is contributing $40,000. Renovations took place in Westview Park which was re-named as Norma Bangay Park.
