Over the past few months, the Town of Caledon has received an increased number of calls from residents about the presence of coyotes. It is important that residents understand coyote habitat, how to deter coyotes from coming on your property and what to do if you come in contact with them.

On behalf of the Town of Caledon, Mayor Allan Thompson today paid tribute to the memory of Mississauga and Region of Peel Councillor Jim Tovey, who passed away suddenly January 15, 2018. 

“Jim Tovey valued and respected staff at the City and the Region,” Mayor Thompson said, “He loved collaboration and being a part of something bigger than himself. Mississauga has lost a champion and Caledon has lost a friend.”

Let’s grow Caledon’s tree canopy! The Town of Caledon’s 2018 Tree Seedling Program provides Caledon residents with the option to purchase potted trees and seedlings. Since the programs 2002 inception, an estimated 165,842 trees have been distributed to Caledon residents.
