Caledon acts on Bill 23 changes

The Town of Caledon is responding to Bill 23, More Homes Built Faster Act, 2022, with immediate action items to address impacts of the Bill, and position Caledon for success. The Town is also asking the Province to further consult with municipalities and Indigenous communities before all parts of the Bill come into effect.

January 13, 2023 - Caledon residents, businesses and schools can now place orders for the Town’s 2023 Tree Seedling Program. This program provides options to purchase potted trees, potted shrubs, bundled seedlings and mulch mats.
The Tree Seedling Program provides residents an affordable way to enhance green space on their properties, reduce the impacts of climate change, improve air quality and contribute to provincial tree planting goals.

Town Facilities closed at 1 p.m. December 23, 2022

All Town of Caledon facilities will close at 1 p.m. on December 23, 2022 for the extreme weather event and will resume operations Tuesday, December 27.

There are steps you can take to help manage winter weather and stay safe. On December 22, the Town of Caledon issued a Special Weather Statement for a major winter storm expected to bring blowing snow and flash freezes to Caledon and the surrounding area.
