Caledon Honours Outstanding Citizens

April 26, 2022 -- The Town of Caledon handed out awards to outstanding citizens as part of Community Recognition Night on April 25. 

“This is our opportunity to celebrate and thank the outstanding people that truly make us #CaledonProud,” said Mayor Allan Thompson. “After more than two years of social distancing ourselves, being able to gather and celebrate in person is a joyful reminder of the power of community and the amazing strength and vibrancy of Caledon.”

CALEDON, ON (April 11, 2022) – If you plan to burn yard waste or brush this spring, you’ll need to get a burn permit online or through Service Caledon. 

Springtime brings unwanted grass fires. Grass and brush start to dry out, and fires can spread quickly and easily becoming uncontrollable with the smallest breeze.  Nearly all grass fires spread quickly, igniting brush, trees and even buildings.  Unattended burning is the most common cause of grass fires.

Caledon lifts Winter Parking Ban and Significant Weather Event Declaration

March 24, 2022 - Effective immediately, the Town of Caledon has lifted the winter parking ban and significant weather warning that was issued on March 22, 2022.

Residents and visitors are reminded that vehicles may still be ticketed and/or towed if they interfere with normal snow removal operations. Even when there is no warning in place use caution when using roads and sidewalks.

As well, residents are kindly requested to place their garbage/recycling/composting bins at the end of their driveways...
