Sound Barrier Detailed Design for Albion Vaughan Road

Update (November 1, 2021)

The completion date for this construction project has been extended until December 22, 2021, with tree planting anticipated for spring 2022, weather permitting.  No road closure is anticipated.

The Town of Caledon (Town) has retained a contractor Powell Fence Ltd. to complete the construction of the sound barrier wall installation along the west side of Albion Vaughan Road from the Canadian Pacific Railway tracks to Nunnville Road.

Update (Febuary 17, 2021) Notice of Passing of Area Specific Development Charges By-law Simpson Rd (Phase 3)

The new Area-Specific Development Charges By-law (2021-09) for Simpson Road Phase 3 is now in effect, which was passed by Town Council on February 16, 2021. This is in accordance with the Development Charges Act 1997, S.O. 1997 c.27.  This By-law applies to lands located within the study area as outlined in the key map.

Proposed Division Fence By-law

Public Open House Meeting

To help residents address property line fence disputes, the Town is considering enactment of a Division Fence By-law. The proposed By-law would permit a person to independently start work on a shared property line fence after providing proper notice to their neighbour. A fair portion of cost, set out in the By-law, could be recovered through court if necessary. For more information, please see the following items:
