Business Opening: Caledon Roots

Caledon Roots opened just before the pandemic hit but finally has been able to celebrate with a grand opening event at their storefront. We asked co-owner Sarah Leslie about their business and how COVID-19 has affected them.

Caledon Roots started out as a microgreens business, but we have slowly turned into a country market that now offers strictly Ontario made products including fresh pastas, homemade pies, baked goods, confectionaries and more.

Caledon Trailway Culvert Replacement

A portion of the Caledon Trailway will be closed for a culvert replacement to take place.

September 17 (anticipated start date) – September 18 (anticipated end date)

The trail will be closed between the Ken Whillans Conservation Area parking lot and the pedestrian bridge over Hwy 10. Access will be maintained from the Ken Whillans Conservation Area parking lot through to Inglewood.

Southfields Community Centre Opening Soon

The Town of Caledon is pleased to announce that the Southfields Community Centre is now complete and will be opening September 21 for select services and programs.

“I’m excited that our newest community centre, in Southfields is opening soon,” said Mayor Allan Thompson. “This new community centre will not only provide traditional recreation opportunities but also service as a unique hub to help meet the broader social needs of the community.”
