Widening of McLaughlin Road and Construction of new East-West Spine Road

In September 2016, the Town of Caledon initiated an environmental assessment for the widening of McLaughlin Road, and the construction of the new east-west Spine Road from Hurontario Street to Chinguacousy Road.
A Public Information Centre (PIC) will be held in an open house format, with no formal presentation. The purpose of the PIC is to present various alternative designs and the preferred alternative, and to receive public comments. Town staff and consultants will be available to answer questions...

The Town of Caledon is lowering flags to half-mast as a tribute to former Councillor Lily (Gray) French who passed away on June 9, 2018.
Lily French served 2 terms as the Area Councillor for Wards 3/4 from 1985 to 1991. She and her husband, Wilson French, were proud members of Peel’s Agricultural Community. Ms. French was an active member of the community in various volunteer capacities, and she was the former Chair of the Town’s Committee of Adjustment.

Last year the inaugural Cheers Caledon! Craft Beer and Cider Festival showcased a small but select group of Ontario’s best beverage producers to some 1,200 attendees.
