Cheers Caledon! Craft Beer and Cider Festival announces full lineup

Last year the inaugural Cheers Caledon! Craft Beer and Cider Festival showcased a small but select group of Ontario’s best beverage producers to some 1,200 attendees.
Now, in its second edition, Cheers Caledon! is adding representation from several new craft beer and cider producers as well as a larger offering of food choices and main stage musical entertainment.

Heritage Caledon Awards of Excellence presented at Town Hall

The Town of Caledon and Heritage Caledon presented Awards of Excellence on June 5, 2018 for two local restoration projects and plaques to mark the heritage designation of two historically significant buildings in Caledon.

At a ceremony at Town Hall on June 5, 2018 the Town of Caledon presented the Senior of the Year award to Ken Graydon.
“Ken is someone I greatly admire,” said Mayor Allan Thompson. “He is always a calm voice of reason and I can’t think of anyone more deserving.”

Heritage Designation: Giffen Farmhouse

Town of Caledon intends to designate the Giffen Farmhouse at 12461 McLaughlin Road as a heritage property.
12461 McLaughlin Road contains a well-crafted, two storey, hip roofed farmhouse clad in a red brick veneer. The farmhouse was built in the early 1890s for James and Sarah Giffen, members of a prominent local pioneer family.
