Caledon Council Increases Push for GO Train Service in Bolton

CALEDON, ON (July 16, 2024) – Today, Town Council took steps to immediately prioritize advocacy for a GO train station on Highway 50 in Bolton. This is another proactive step following last month’s rezoning of several parcels of land in Caledon, including a high-rise development planned for the south side of Highway 50 at Industrial Road that will bring more than 3,500 families to the town.

July 10, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – General Committee has moved to reinstate the Canadian National Anthem at regularly scheduled Council Meetings, following a motion from Councillor Mario Russo presented at yesterday’s General Committee meeting. The practice of playing the national anthem will start after Council approval on July 23, 2024, with a review on updating when to play the anthem at which meetings moving forward in the fall.

July 9, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – At the General Committee Meeting on Tuesday, July 9, Mayor Annette Groves brought forward a motion calling on the Government of Ontario and local MPPs to work with the Town to address the provincial underfunding of municipal and social services.
