Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament Recipient Announced

April 26, 2023 (CALEDON) – At yesterday’s Caledon Council meeting, National Wildlife Centre (NWC) was announced as the primary recipient of the 2023 Caledon Council Community Golf Tournament (CCGT) to receive $75,000.

“I thank the Caledon Council Community Golf Committee members, sponsors, participants and supporters for their commitment and dedication,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “Each year, this tournament greatly benefits Caledon by helping local organizations serve the community.”

Improving Traffic Safety in key areas – Caledon Automated Speed Enforcement Program Update

The Town of Caledon is preparing for two new mobile Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) cameras which will rotate among community safety zones where vehicle speed is a concern. The Region of Peel also has a mobile ASE camera for Regional roads in Caledon. Next month, ‘Coming Soon’ signage will be installed in two community safety zones in Bolton (Columbia Way) and Southfields (Kennedy Road), advising drivers that ASE cameras will begin operation in 90 days. Emergency Road Closure: Castlederg Road

Following a recent inspection, Castlederg Road from Mount Pleasant Road to Caledon/King Townline Road will be temporarily closed until further notice for emergency culvert repairs.

The culvert repairs will take approximately one month to complete.
