Construction Notice for RFT2022-01 Commercial Road Rehabilitation 

IPAC Paving Ltd. is the contractor completing this work along Commercial Road between McEwan Drive and Albion Vaughan Road.

 Anticipated Commencement Date: October 13, 2022

Anticipated Completion Date: November 30, 2022

Please post this construction notice to the Town’s website, council and stakeholders today if possible.

Caledon Animal Services wants pictures of your pets

 Caledon Animal Services is calling for photo submissions of Caledon pets to be included in this year’s fundraising calendar.  You can help our Animal Services fundraising effort by sending in your photos to (potentially) be included in a 2023 Animal Services Pet Calendar. The calendar will be launched in December and available for sales at Caledon’s Animal Shelter, Town Hall, Libraries, Recreation Centers and participating businesses in the local community.

Mayfield Recreation Complex closed until further notice

October 5, 2022 – Mayfield Recreation Complex is closed until further notice due to a police investigation in the area.

The Caledon Fire Department and first responders were called at 11:22 a.m. to respond to a bomb threat, and according to local O.P.P., the following locations have been evacuated:

  • Mayfield Secondary School
  • Walmart Plaza
  • Mayfield Recreation Centre

Peel Regional Police are also on scene and have set up a perimeter and are in control of the situation.

Margaret Street & Thomas Street Culvert Replacement

A cross-culvert at the Margaret Street and Thomas Street intersection will undergo replacement which requires a full road closure for Thomas Street for one working day.

Vehicle traffic will not be permitted to pass through the site during this time, but pedestrian access will be available. Should you require passage through the construction site, please contact one of the site representatives outlined below.
