The Town of Caledon is thrilled to announce the launch of a year-long celebration in honor of its 50th birthday on January 1, 2024.

Join us as we embark on a journey through five decades of community, culture, agriculture, and vibrant heritage, commemorated through a diverse array of events, initiatives, and activities taking place throughout the year.

Highlights of the Celebration

Caledon Day

What could be more fitting than celebrating Caledon’s 50^th at Caledon Day, June 15, 2024. Join us at our largest community festival for a grand celebration featuring live music, family-friendly activities, vendors, and a spectacular display of fireworks.

50th Anniversary Community Mural

A whimsical representation of the Town of Caledon coming together to celebrate its 50th anniversary. This mural celebrates the harmony between its residents and the urban and rural landscapes that Caledon offers.

In celebration of its 50th anniversary, on Caledon Day, the community was invited to help paint the mural as a paint-by-number piece. There are several iconic landmarks in Caledon which can be found in this mural, designed by Nikita Mistry

Caledon's 50th Anniversary Heritage Traffic Cabinet Wraps

The Town of Caledon, in collaboration with the Region of Peel and Peel Archives, has launched a series of new Heritage Traffic Cabinet Wraps that celebrate the unique heritage of Caledon for our 50th Anniversary. These wraps feature a range of images, from snapshots of everyday life to cherished memories created by residents of the past. Explore the locations of these utility boxes and discover more about the captivating photos showcased on them by visiting Caledon.ca/heritage

Pop-Up Exhibitions
