Family Day

Looking for fun things to do on Family Day? Recreation Caledon has you covered with free, fun activities at the following locations on Monday, February 16, 2026:

Come out and enjoy drop-in skating, shinny, swimming, sports and inclusion activities! No pre-registration required. 

There will also be free skating at our outdoor rinks. Visit Caledon.ca/Skating for a list of outdoor rinks currently open for use, and information on all skating programs.

Caledon Public Library

Celebrate Family Day with Caledon Public Library! Two CPL branches - Caledon East and Southfields Village - will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for a day of family-friendly fun.

At the Caledon East branch, enjoy a hands-on creative experience in the Cory Trepanier Creativity Studio. Families are invited to explore a variety of maker activities, including live equipment demonstrations and family-friendly creation stations. Drop in to discover the possibilities of the makerspace and get creative with family and friends. In the main library area, visitors can design and create a mini button to take home, enjoy additional DIY family-friendly craft activities, and take part in a fun scavenger hunt.

At the Southfields Village branch, families can put their problem-solving skills to the test in our Minecraft Escape Room. Come as a family or group of friends and work together to solve riddles and puzzles in under 30 minutes. Registration is required for the Minecraft Escape Room @ Events - Caledon Public Library.  Visitors can also enjoy DIY crafting activities and take part in a scavenger hunt.
