Winter Parking RestrictionsChance of snow? Street parking is a NO.

With winter weather here, the Town of Caledon is reminding residents that winter parking restrictions are in effect from November 1 until April 30. During this time, there is no street parking permitted in Caledon when winter operations, such as salting or plowing, are taking place.


About Caledon's Temporary Parking Pass

You can apply for a temporary parking pass in Caledon if you:

  • Need to park on a road for longer than three hours 
  • Need to park on the road overnight (between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.)
  • Are improving your driveway and cannot park there, 
  • Are impacted by construction projects undertaken by the Town or the Region, or
  • Need to park in a Town parking lot* between 2 a.m. and 6 a.m.

* Please note: Below is a list of Town facilities where you may park your vehicle with the use of a parking pass.

  • Alton Library;
  • Caledon Centre for Recreation and Wellness;
  • Caledon East Community Complex;
  • Caledon Village Place;
  • Cheltenham Community Hall;
  • Inglewood Community Centre;
  • Lloyd Wilson Community Centre;
  • Margaret Dunn Library;
  • Mayfield Recreation Centre;
  • The Municipal parking lot in Bolton;
  • Palgrave Community Centre;
  • Rotary Place;
  • Southfields Community Centre;
  • Victoria Parks Community Centre; and
  • Town Hall.         

If you have a pass, you still have to obey all other parking regulations as set out in our Traffic By-law.

Apply for a pass

If you apply online, please be sure to apply before 1 a.m. on the calendar day that you need the pass. We cannot process requests after 1 a.m.

You can also apply by phone at 905-584-2272 x 3462, Monday to Friday, between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. We do not accept voicemails.

Terms and conditions

  • Each vehicle can have up to 16 temporary parking passes per year.
  • Each vehicle can have an additional seven temporary parking passes per year for driveway improvements or if construction projects undertaken by the Town and/or the Region obstruct a driveway.
  • Parking passes are not issued for heavy truck vehicles, derelict vehicles, unlicensed vehicles or immobile trailers.
  • If you have a parking pass you must still obey any other parking regulations as set out in the Town's Traffic By-law (e.g. parking in a no parking area or in a fire route).
  • A parking pass is not valid during a winter weather event when snow-clearing operations may take place.
  • The Town is not responsible for loss or damage to vehicles parked on a Town road allowance or in a Town-owned lot, however caused.
  • This pass does not guarantee a parking space will be available.
  • Any pass that is altered may be deemed invalid.
