Award-winning Diwali Drone Show returns this fall, sponsorship opportunities available
September 18, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon will be celebrating the Festival of Lights again this year with the return of our award-winning Diwali Drone Show. Taking place on Saturday, November 2 at 7:30 p.m., the Diwali Drone Show will feature over 200 drones, putting on a spectacular display of various symbols that embody the essence of Diwali.
“Our Diwali Drone Show is an environmentally friendly and safe alternative to fireworks, and we are thrilled to turn this award-winning event into an annual attraction,” said Catherine McLean, Commissioner of Community and Human Services. “Events like this are a vital part of our commitment to elevating the livability and vitality of our community, and we’re excited for another fantastic show this fall.”

The Diwali Drone Show is weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather, the drone show will be rescheduled for Sunday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m.
In April of this year, the Town of Caledon was awarded the prestigious Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) Award by Parks and Recreation Ontario for our ground-breaking Diwali Drone Show. The drone show embodies the spirit of inclusion, education, and community engagement. It is also a great example of innovation and responding to the needs of our community, while also adhering to our fireworks bylaw regulations.
