Caledon announces new Commissioner of Corporate Services/Chief Legal Officer
November 16, 2023 (Caledon, ON) - The Town of Caledon continues to attract top talent, proudly welcoming Mr. Steven Dickson, CIC.C, as the newly appointed Commissioner of Corporate Services/Chief Legal Officer.
Mr. Dickson brings extensive municipal legal experience to Caledon, most recently from the Region of Peel as the Deputy Regional Solicitor. Prior to working with the Region, Steven spent 10 years as Legal Counsel for the Cities of Mississauga and Hamilton.
In August this year, Mayor Groves announced a new CAO who is building a dynamic leadership team to prepare Caledon for the dissolution of the Region of Peel and get ready for future growth.

Mr. Dickson's impressive academic background, which includes degrees in Business Administration, Commerce, and Law. He also is a Certified In-House Counsel, holding the CIC.C designation, and is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified.
In his role as Commissioner of Corporate Services/Chief Legal Officer, Mr. Dickson will oversee a diverse portfolio encompassing Clerks, Communications, Information Technology, Legal, and Caledon’s two Provincial Offences Courts.
Mr. Dickson is set to commence his new role with the Town of Caledon on Monday, December 4, 2023.
