Caledon Culture Days recognized provincially and nationally for successful 2024 festival

January 15, 2025 (CALEDON, ON) – Over 4,500 residents and visitors attend the Caledon Culture Days, held throughout the community from September 21 through October 13, 2024. The success of Caledon’s Culture Days Festival was recognized provincially and nationally.

Provincial Festival Hub
The Town of Caledon was recently accepted by Ontario Culture Days to be a Provincial Festival Hub for the 2025 Culture Days Festival. This will provide Caledon with a larger profile among the festival communities, providing a centralized website presence for attendees to easily find details about events throughout the festival, schedules and locations, and much more. Being a festival hub will also allow us to drive local and regional tourism to festival events.

“Becoming a Provincial Festival Hub is an indication of the outstanding job our staff did to put together such a massive event,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “We have a rich cultural mosaic within Caledon, and as our community grows, we will continue to increase efforts to showcase the vitality and wide range of culture and artistic talent that makes Caledon a unique and inspiring place to live.”

National and Municipal Rankings
The Town of Caledon Culture Days Festival was ranked tenth in Canada, and second overall for a small municipality.

“This year’s festival expanded significantly and included gallery tours, interactive murals, food and music experiences and more arts-based celebrations,” said Jason Schildroth, Manager of Recreation and Culture. “Our staff worked with our partners and artists to offer an incredible showcase of Caledon’s arts and culture offerings, and to celebrate Caledon’s 50th anniversary, and these rankings show just how amazing the results were.”

Over five million residents and visitors attended the Culture Days 2024 events that were held across Canada.

The 2025 Culture Days Festival will take place from September 19 to October 12, 2025.
