Caledon Culture Days Studio Tour – Call for Studios now open

April 15, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon is excited to announce its inaugural Culture Days Studio Tour on September 21st and 22nd, 2024, celebrating the vital role of art and culture in our community. Caledon-based artists and craftspeople are urged to apply, highlighting the rich artistic tapestry within our borders. Participation comes at no cost, underscoring our commitment to fostering artistic expression and cultural enrichment.

“We are excited to be expanding Culture Days this year to include a Studio Tour event, showcasing local studios in Caledon where artists can show their art, discuss their process and welcome visitors into their studio,” said Catherine McLean, Commissioner of Community and Human Services. “Studios will be featured on a tour map, experience marketing benefits and have the opportunity to display and sell artwork and engage in hands-on connection with guests and customers. This is a great opportunity to foster relationships with visitors and fellow artists.”

Among the requirements, studios must be available during the tour dates of September 21 & 22, 2024 from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.; artists must be present in their studio at all times for the duration of the tour and must be prepared to demonstrate and/or discuss their work; all mediums are acceptable.

Culture Days is a national celebration of arts, culture and heritage, and is scheduled to take place from September 20 to October 13 throughout Caledon. Seeking to eliminate barriers, engage residents, attract visitors and celebrate vibrancy in our communities, the Town invites the community to participate in free “behind the scenes” activities to discover Caledon artists, creators, performers and heritage for our 50^th anniversary.
