Caledon looking forward to welcoming RBC Canadian Open in 2025

CALEDON, ON (May 21, 2024) – The Town of Caledon is excited to host Canada's National Men's Open Golf Championship, the RBC Canadian Open, at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in 2025. This tournament will bring world-class golfing to Caledon and benefits to our growing community. It will help build our capacity for sports tourism, supporting local economic development and placing Caledon firmly on the global golf stage.

Golf Canada and the PGA Tour have selected the recently expanded TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley as the venue for this prestigious event. The 7,400-yard North Course will make history as the 38th golf course to host this illustrious tournament in its 119-year legacy.

"Today's announcement marks an exhilarating milestone for Caledon, solidifying our status as the premier destination for Canadian golf," said Mayor Annette Groves. "Hosting the 2025 RBC Canadian Open allows us to showcase our Town as a vibrant hub for recreation and tourism, benefiting our residents, businesses and visitors."

Golf Canada's announcement of the relocation of its corporate headquarters to TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley in July 2022 brings the Home for Canadian Golf to Caledon, including plans for a publicly accessible community putting green. This partnership will showcase Caledon as a world-class sports tourism destination, promoting a love for golf among grassroots participants and high performers alike.
