A new draft Official Plan will be available for review on February 14, 2024. Attend the open house and public meeting to learn about the draft Official Plan and share your feedback. Comments are due by March 7, 2024.

Visit haveyoursaycaledon.ca to view the draft Official Plan. The Official Plan is an overarching policy document consisting of goals, objectives, policies and maps that will guide Caledon’s growth and development to the year 2051. It strives to maintain a high quality of life for residents and sets out the expectations for future community and employment areas, transportation and municipal services, and use of land.

The draft Official Plan will apply to all lands within the municipal boundary of the Town of Caledon except for the land use designations and associated policies within the Rural Service Centres of Bolton, Mayfield West and Caledon East, as well as Tullamore, Sandhill, Palgrave Estates, and Inglewood, and all mineral aggregate resources policies, which will be updated in later phases of the Official Plan Review.

If you wish to make written or verbal submissions at the public meeting, please complete the participation form available on the Town’s website prior to the meeting.

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Council of The Corporation of the Town of Caledon on the proposed new Offi­cial Plan, you must make a written request to:

If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of The Corporation of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to The Corporation of the Town of Caledon before the proposed new o­fficial plan is adopted, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.

If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to The Corporation of the Town of Caledon before the proposed new o­fficial plan is adopted, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
