Stop the Spread

April 16, 2021 – Due to the latest Provincial announcement on April 16, all outdoor recreational amenities such as outdoor playgrounds, tennis courts, soccer fields, basketball courts etc. will be closed as of Saturday April 17, 12:01am.

"Based on the recent Provincial announcement, COVID case numbers are accelerating at a high rate and our hospitals are at capacity," said Mayor Allan Thompson. "We must continue to follow public health measures and stay at home as much as possible to protect our health system and the residents of Caledon. We need to continue doing all that we can to stop the spread of COVID-19. Please take care, we are almost there!" 

Residents are asked to stay home and only go out for essential travel including grocery shopping, healthcare or for essential work.

Town Services 

In-person services at Town Hall have been suspended until further notice, clients with appointments scheduled will be contacted directly. 

Residents are encouraged to check online for updates to Town services as details are subject to change as new Provincial restrictions become available: caledon.ca/COVID or follow the Town through its Your Caledon social media channels (Facebook and Twitter). 

Enforcement

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is responsible for enforcing the Provincial order in the Town of Caledon. Resident complaints can be directed to Caledon OPP Detachment through the following means:

  • Online reporting at opp.ca/reporting or
  • By phone (non-emergency): 1.888.310.1122

Get the latest information on the roll-out of COVID-19 vaccinations in Peel or, if you are eligible, book an appointment or call 1-888-999-6488. 

Testing 

If you have symptoms or have come in contact with someone with symptoms, find a testing location near you.
