Today, Council approved an interim control by-law to prohibit gravel pits or quarries for all lands in Caledon that have high potential mineral aggregate resources for one year as well as a supplementary aggregate resources policy study. The study will inform the Caledon Official Plan and related policy document documents such as the Town’s Zoning By-law and will further the goal of Caledon planning Caledon.
