Development Charges
The Town of Caledon will be holding a public information meeting on the proposed amendment to Development Charges By-law 2014-054.
The purpose of the amendment is to provide information on the following items that may result in development charge exemptions or discounts for:
- Secondary dwellings on agricultural properties for farm help
- Seniors housing
- Live/Work Units
And to remove the development charge exemptions or discounts for:
- Low Impact Development
- Hotel, motel or lodge facilities
The public information meeting,pursuant to Section 12 of the Development Charges Act, 1997, will be held on: Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Town of Caledon Town Hall 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon East, Ontario L7C 1J6
A copy of the proposed amendment to Development Charges By-law 2014-054 and the background study is available at www.caledon.ca/dc and at the Corporate Services Department, Town of Caledon Town Hall, weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Interested persons may also express their comments with respect to the proposed Development Charges By-law 2014-054 amendment and background study in writing by Friday October 16, 2015, addressed to the Town Clerk, Town of Caledon, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon East, ON L7C 1J6.
Any person who attends the meeting may make representations related to the proposed amendment to Development Charges By-law 2014-054.
