New leadership for the Town of Caledon Finance Department

April 27, 2023 (CALEDON, ON) - The Town of Caledon is pleased to announce David Sutton has been appointed the new Chief Financial Officer/Director, Finance.

“I am pleased to welcome David to the Town of Caledon and as a member of our Senior Leadership Team,” said CAO Carey Herd. “With 20 years of professional experience in financial management, David brings extensive knowledge to the Director, Finance/Chief Financial Officer position. He was an integral part in ensuring long-term financial sustainability and flexibility in his former positions and successfully implemented process improvements that enhanced operational effectiveness and modernized the customer service experience. David’s experience will be an asset to the Corporation as we continue to manage the future growth of Caledon.”

Previously, David was the Treasurer and Director of Financial Planning at the City of Brampton. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charter holder and holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (Economics) degree. 

David will join the Town of Caledon starting Monday, May 15, 2023.
