This is to inform you that the Town of Caledon has received an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning Bylaw Amendment Applications. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.

Proposed changes
The applicant has applied for an Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment for a development proposal consisting of two large-industrial buildings. The buildings will have a total gross floor area of 23,482 m² and 21,053 m² respectively (44,535 m² / 479,776 square feet combined), including accessory office spaces totaling approximately 2,034 m²). A full-movement access would be located on Airport Road, with additional access on Airport Road, and Mayfield Road.
The Official Plan Amendment would change the designation of the subject lands from “Highway Commercial” (subject to OPA 239) and “General Industrial” to “Highway Commercial” with site specific policies to allow additional employment uses. The Zoning By-law Amendment would rezone the property from Highway Commercial with a Holding provision (CH-556-H19 and CH-480-H13) and Service Industrial (MS-483-H13) to Highway Commercial with and Exception and Holding Provision (CH XXX-HXX).

Appeal Procedure |
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Caledon to the Ontario Land Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Ontario Land Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party. |
