Notice of Application and Public Meeting: 0 Mount Hope
This is to inform you that the Town of Caledon has received Draft Plan of Subdivision and Zoning By-law Amendment applications. A Public Meeting will be held to consider these applications. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.
Due to continuing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect individuals, Town Hall will not be open to the public to attend Public Meetings until further notice. These meetings will be held electronically.

How to listen |
Members of the public are welcome to participate via phone or WebEx Meeting upon request. To listen to the live meeting please dial 1-833-311-4101 and enter the required Access Code followed by the # key. Please note that there are deadlines by which the request to participate need to be made.

If you wish to delegate to a specific application listed on the agenda package, please register in advance by completing the electronic registration form.

How to submit a written comment |
You may submit written comments by uploading them directly through the electronic registration form. If you do not wish to submit your written comments through the electronic registration form, you can e-mail your comments to planning@caledon.ca and agenda@caledon.ca. Written comments submitted will be considered public information and will form part of the public record.

Proposed Changes
The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision consists of 29 estate residential lots with structure envelopes, an environmental block, new roads and a new road connecting the subdivision to the east to Mount Hope Road. The proposed Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to amend the zoning from Rural – Oak Moraine (A2-ORM) and Environmental Policy Area 2 Zone – Oak Ridge Moraine (EPA2 – ORM) to Estate Residential – Exception XX – Oak Ridges Moraine (RE-XX-ORM) to include site specific provisions for building and structure location and natural area restrictions.

Appeal Procedure |
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Caledon to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so. |
