A Public Meeting will be held to consider proposed Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment applications. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.
Due to continuing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect individuals, Town Hall will not be open to the public to attend Public Meetings until further notice. These meetings will be held electronically.

Members of the public are welcome to participate via phone or WebEx Meeting upon request. To listen to the live meeting please dial 1-833-311-4101 and enter the required Access Code followed by the # key. Please note that there are deadlines by which the request to participate need to be made.

Proposed Changes
The applicant has applied for an Official Plan Amendment and Zoning By-law Amendment to facilitate the development of an e-commerce development consisting of warehousing, distribution centres and industrial uses in four industrial buildings totaling approximately 241,547.9 m2 (2,600,000 ft2). The Official Plan Amendment proposes to include the lands within the settlement boundary and redesignate the lands from Prime Agricultural Area and Environmental Policy Area to General Industrial and Environmental Policy Area. The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to rezone the lands from Agricultural (A1) and Environmental Policy Area 2 Zone (EPA2) to Serviced Industrial – Exception XXX (MS-XXX) with site specific permissions, Open Space (OS) and Environmental Policy Area 1 Zone (EPA1). Appeal Procedure |
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Caledon to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision.
If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so. |
