Notice of Public Meeting - Draft Bolton Secondary Plans Review Study

The Town of Caledon is hosting a Public Meeting for the Bolton Secondary Plans Review Study.

The purpose of the meeting is to present an overview of the proposed policies, land use framework and development guidelines in the draft Bolton Secondary Plan and obtain feedback from landowners and representatives. Staff will also be on hand to answer questions about the Bolton Special Policy Area.

Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.

  • Time: 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. (presentation starts at 7:00 p.m.)

About the Study

This study set out to prepare a modern and innovative planning framework for built form and land use to guide intensification and land use change in Bolton to the 2051 planning horizon.

Key goals of the Bolton Secondary Plans Review are to:

  • Consolidate the six (6) existing Secondary Plans for Bolton into a single modern Secondary Plan to the 2051 planning horizon.
  • Analyze the potential for a second Bolton area GO station on the Caledon-Vaughan GO rail line in the proximity of Queen Street/Highway 50.
  • Complete a detailed planning study of the proposed Focused Study Area along the Queen Street corridor from the rail line to Mayfield Road, to put in place a modern and innovative planning policy framework.
  • Address the interface and compatibility of mixed use/residential intensification adjacent to an existing dry industrial area and determine options for the future that consider the long-term viability of the dry industrial area.
