A Public Meeting will be held to consider a proposed Official Plan Amendment application and related Local Subwatershed Study. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.

- Public Meeting Start Time: 7:00 p.m.
- Location: Council Chambers, 6311 Old Church Road, Caledon East
There will be presentation boards outside of Council Chambers available for public viewing 1 hour prior to the public meeting. The consulting team will be available to answer public questions.

Proposed Changes
The applicant has applied for an Official Plan Amendment (POPA 2022-0001) to facilitate the development of a secondary plan for approximately 167 hectares (412 acres) of land along Highway 50, north of the existing Bolton Rural Service Centre. The area is planned for house approximately 14,780 people (4,446 dwelling units) and provide approximately 410 jobs. The Secondary Plan also includes a conceptual road network, parks, stormwater management facilities, protected environmental policy areas, schools, and a centralized mixed-use area that encourages both residential and commercial uses.

Appeal Procedure |
The applicant or specified persons as defined by the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended, public bodies as defined by the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended, and registered owners of land to which the by-law would apply who made oral or written submissions to Council prior to the adoption and/or passing of the by-law(s) may appeal a decision of the municipality or planning board to the Ontario Land Tribunal. No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law(s) was passed, they made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Ontario Land Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person, public body or registered owner of land to which the by-law would apply as a party. |
