Public Input Needed: Illegal Land Use Survey
CALEDON, ON (April 8, 2024) – The Town of Caledon is looking for input from residents to help support enforcement initiatives around illegal land use for trucking operations within the community. Have your say and inform the Illegal Land Use Taskforce through an online survey by Friday, April 26: haveyoursaycaledon.ca/illegallanduse.
In 2019, Caledon launched the Illegal Land Use Taskforce to address growing land use issues related to the parking and storage of tractor-trailers and commercial vehicles. In the last few years, more than 300 properties in Caledon have been investigated for potential illegal truck storage violations.
The Town is tackling illegal operations and working to ensure the local trucking and real estate industries are clear about the rules to address a variety of impacts.
Impacts of illegal land use
