Statement on the passing of Councillor Jim Tovey
Back to SearchOn behalf of the Town of Caledon, Mayor Allan Thompson today paid tribute to the memory of Mississauga and Region of Peel Councillor Jim Tovey, who passed away suddenly January 15, 2018.
“Jim Tovey valued and respected staff at the City and the Region,” Mayor Thompson said, “He loved collaboration and being a part of something bigger than himself. Mississauga has lost a champion and Caledon has lost a friend.”
The City of Mississauga will lower flags to half-mast and a book of condolences will be available starting tomorrow (January 17, 2018) in the Great Hall at the Mississauga Civic Centre.
