The Town of Caledon welcomes Sandra DeMaria as Director, Development Planning
CALEDON, ON (March 28, 2025) – The Town of Caledon announces the appointment of Sandra DeMaria as its new Director, Development Planning, effective April 15, 2025.
Sandra brings over 20 years of progressive planning experience in both municipal and private sector roles. Most recently, she served as the Manager of Development for Richmond Hill, where she oversaw a broad portfolio of development projects, including mid-and-high-rise buildings along key urban corridors.
A Registered Professional Planner and a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, Sandra has extensive expertise in guiding complex development initiatives in growing communities.
“Sandra brings a wealth of experience in urban development, and we are excited to have her join our team,” said Eric Lucic, Commissioner of Planning and Development, Town of Caledon. “As Caledon prepares for significant growth, Sandra’s leadership and experience will be instrumental in creating a thriving, connected and well-planned community.”
In her new role, Sandra will provide strategic leadership and oversee operations of the Town’s team of Development Planners, Urban Designers and Zoning staff, as well as Planning administrative support. She will also play a key role in shaping the Town’s growth by ensuring high-quality, sustainable development that aligns with Caledon’s long-term vision.
