Town of Caledon launches Holiday Lights Map
CALEDON, ON (December 01, 2023) – Today, the Town of Caledon unveiled its Holiday Lights Map – your ultimate guide to Caledon during the festive season.
Residents and business owners who brought their outdoor décor A game are invited to submit their property for inclusion on the map. The kicker? You could snag one of the three prizes up for grabs!
“I’ve already seen some incredible décor this holiday season and this map is a fun way to share your talents with the Caledon community,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “I encourage residents and visitors to consult our map, take a drive and enjoy the holiday season close to home.”
But it's not just homes and businesses stealing the spotlight. The Town of Caledon has upped the ante with holiday placemaking across all villages and hamlets. The map features dazzling light exhibits such as:
- The Alpha Light Exhibit in Alton;
- the 40-foot Christmas tree in Caledon Village;
- holiday lights at the John Clarkson Park Skate loop in Southfields Village;
- iridescent reindeer and festive gazebo in Palgrave;
- and more!
“The Community and Cultural Development Team will choose 1 winner for each of our 3 categories: most colourful and vibrant, best decorated business and most festive,” said Jason Schildroth, Manager of Recreation and Culture. “But this initiative isn’t about winning. It’s about showing pride in our neighbourhoods and downtowns, encouraging visits to our parks and town squares and spreading some happiness during the holiday season.”
Entries to the Holiday Lights Map must be submitted by Friday, December 29 and winners will be contacted by email in January 2024. For more details and to embark on your luminous adventure, visit haveyoursaycaledon.ca/holidaylightsmap.
