Town of Caledon launches series of surveys to improve neighbourhood playgrounds
December 12, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon wants to help you forget about winter for a moment and think about park playgrounds with the 2025 Playground Improvement Surveys, now available on Have Your Say Caledon.
Improvements are proposed for the playgrounds at the following parks throughout Caledon:
- Adam Wallace Memorial Park (Playground & Splash Pad) - 128 Cedargrove Road
- Lions Park – 12 Holmes Drive
- Montrose Farm Park – 1 Castelli Court
- Newhouse Park - 16 Cliffview Court
- R.W. Moffatt Park - 17 Goodfellow Crescent
- R.J.A. Potts Park (Playground & Splash Pad) – 125 Pembrooke Street
- Whitbread Park – 27 Whitbread Avenue
“We want to hear from residents on what improvements and play equipment they would like to see in their neighbourhood park,” said Michael Hoy, Manager of Parks and Natural Heritage. “The Town is dedicated to improving community vitality and livability, and by engaging with residents these surveys will help ensure that our playgrounds provide amenities that the community needs and wants.”
By collecting this information from residents now, the Town can position itself to develop designs for each of the playgrounds early in the first quarter of 2025 and move forward with the construction phase in the spring/summer with the goal of completion by the end of the year. This improvement cycle would then be repeated in the late fall/early winter in 2025 for the 2026 Playground Improvements.
