Town of Caledon’s quality rental amenities key to successful events

August 9, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – In mid-July, Caledon welcomed 35 soccer teams from across Ontario to the Caledon East Community Complex fields for the Caledon Football Club’s first annual Heart of Caledon soccer tournament. Six Caledon teams competed against teams from Niagara Falls, Aurora, Muskoka, Acton, Collingwood, Burlington, Ottawa, Windsor, Simcoe, Erin Mills, Toronto, Puslinch, and Milton.

Over 400 players and their families visited Caledon for the tournament.

“Hosting events of this size is of great benefit to our community, as with many of the participants and spectators coming to our Town it brings a boost to our local economy,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “Being able to offer our top-quality parks and amenities to event planners is a great asset for the Town, and something we take great pride in.”

“This is a great example of a successful event being held at one of the Town of Caledon’s many facilities available for rent,” said Catherine McLean, Commissioner of Community and Human Services. “Whether it’s a tournament, party or meeting, we have you covered. I encourage event planners to reach out to our team and see how we can help provide the facility to bring their event to life.”
