Caledon presents first ever Accessibility Award for Business
The Town of Caledon today presented its inaugural Accessibility Award for Business to KeyKeeper, a manufacturer of secure night drop boxes and key drop boxes located in Bolton.
“Congratulations to Jonathan Weeden and the team at KeyKeeper,” said Mayor Allan Thompson. “By creating a more inclusive and accessible workplace KeyKeeper is creating opportunity for people with disabilities to contribute. And what better time to recognize them than National AccessAbility Week..”
“We’re honoured to receive this award,” said Jonathan Weedon, owner of KeyKeeper. “It’s great that we can create a job in Caledon for a Caledon resident. It’s a win-win situation.”
The award recipient was selected by the Town of Caledon Accessibility Advisory Committee and approved by Council.
“The award is an opportunity to raise awareness and to help people understand what accessibility is all about,” said Maureen Tymkow, Chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee.
