Community Tree Planting Event on May 25

May 21, 2024 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon is inviting the public to a community Tree Planting Event at the Columbia Way Stormwater Pond on Saturday, May 25 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This free event is an opportunity to learn more about stormwater management for National Public Works Week (May 19-25, 2024) and support the Town’s effort to enhance Caledon’s natural environment by creating biodiverse features and areas. 

Tree Planting 

  • Location: Columbia Way Stormwater Pond (access from Taylorwood Avenue, Scheafer Place)  

  • Date: Saturday, May 25, 2024 

  • Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. 

  • Cost: Free and open to the public, rain or shine 

  • Registration: Please register to help us plan for the event by visiting Community Planting at Columbia Way Pond 

  • Be prepared: Please dress appropriately for the weather and be sure to check the forecast before heading out 

Public Works professionals at the Town include those who manage, maintain and rehabilitate roadways, sidewalks and bridges, transportation engineering, crossing guards, energy and environment initiatives and Town facilities. Staff are critical to improving the systems and services vital to the community’s health, safety and comfort.
