Public meeting
A public meeting will be held to consider proposed Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments. Your input and insight will inform and shape plans that meet the needs of our community.
Due to continuing efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19 and to protect individuals, Town Hall will not be open to the public to attend Public Meetings until further notice. These meetings will be held electronically.

By appointment |
To speak directly to staff about an application, you may complete the electronic registration form and indicate that you would like an appointment to be scheduled. Appointments will be scheduled by staff and can be for in-person or over the phone consultations. Proposed changes
The proposed Draft Plan of Subdivision will facilitate an eight lot estate residential plan of subdivision on municipal water and private sewage disposal systems. Three lots are proposed to be accessed from Diamondwood Drive, while the remaining lots will be accessed from a new cul-de-sac intersecting with Mount Pleasant Road. In addition, the development will contain open space blocks and a stormwater management pond. The Zoning By-law Amendment will rezone the lands from Rural – Oak Ridges Moraine (A2-ORM) and Environmental Policy Area 2 – Oak Ridges Moraine (EPA2-ORM) to Estate Residential Exception XX (RE-XX), Environmental Policy Area 1 – Oak Ridges Moraine (EPA1-ORM), and Environmental Policy Area 1 Exception 405 (EPA1-405) to permit the proposed development.

Appeal procedure |
If a person or public body would otherwise have an ability to appeal the decision of the Council of the Town of Caledon to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal but the person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body is not entitled to appeal the decision. If a person or public body does not make oral submissions at a public meeting, or make written submissions to the Clerk of the Town of Caledon before the by-law is passed, the person or public body may not be added as a party to the hearing of an appeal before the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal unless, in the opinion of the Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to do so. |
