Town seeking members for Youth Advisory and Traffic Safety Committees
February 4, 2025 (CALEDON, ON) – The Town of Caledon is recruiting members to apply for two advisory committees:
Traffic Safety Advisory Committee
This committee brings together residents who are passionate about community and road safety. It will help provide valuable community insight on traffic and pedestrian safety concerns, working to further improve road safety through education and advocacy. Members will work together with Town employees to recommend initiatives aimed at reducing traffic risks and improving overall safety on Caledon’s roads.
“We are excited to welcome new voices to these important committees,” said Mayor Annette Groves. “Our Traffic Safety Advisory and Youth Advisory Committees provide a great opportunity for residents to contribute their ideas and perspectives, helping to make our community safer, more inclusive and more responsive to the needs of the community.”
Applications are open until February 19, 2025.
Youth Advisory Committee
This committee will act as a voice for young people in Caledon’s local government, sharing insights with Council on key issues affecting youth like professional development opportunities, recreational programming and social issues. Members will have the opportunity to help shape policies that support positive outcomes for the young people in our community.
Applications are open until March 19, 2025.
