The Town of Caledon promotes and encourages civic engagement. Boards, committees and task forces play an important role in this process by providing advice and recommendations to Council.


Join the Youth Advisory Committee

This committee will act as a voice for young people in Caledon’s local government, sharing insights with Council on key issues affecting youth like professional development opportunities, recreational programming and social issues. Members will have the opportunity to help shape policies that support positive outcomes for the young people in our community.

Join the Accessibility Advisory Committee

The Accessibility Advisory Committee is looking for advocates within the community to help remove barriers for persons with disabilities in the Town of Caledon. The Committee acts to advise and provide input on accessibility standards in the Town and works for an inclusive Caledon.

Bolton Business Improvement Area 

The purpose of the Bolton Business Improvement Area (BIA) is to improve and beautify downtown Bolton and to promote it as a vibrant business and shopping area.

Caledon Public Library Board 

The Public Library Board oversees the services and programs at all branches of the Caledon Public Library. Their vision is to be the heart of the community - building and connecting a thriving, engaged and informed Caledon.

Master Plan Task Forces

Active Transportation Task Force 

The Active Transportation Task Force (ATTF) works to create a safer community through the development of infrastructure such as sidewalks, bike lanes, crosswalks and complete streets. 

Age Friendly Advisory Committee (AFAC)

The Age Friendly Advisory Committee (AFAC) acts as a steering committee for the Town of Caledon's Age-Friendly Action Plan. Members advocate on behalf of older adult (55+) residents to ensure that there is housingprograms and services available in the community.
