Accessibility Advisory Committee
Purpose
The Accessibility Advisory Committee is responsible for raising community awareness surrounding persons with disabilities and provides advice and recommendations to Council on ensuring a barrier free Community. The Committee focuses on the review of site plans, playgrounds and community parks, pursuant to the standards as outlined in the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

The Town of Caledon’s Accessibility Advisory Committee is looking to welcome enthusiastic volunteers to advocate for opportunities to remove barriers for persons with disabilities in the Town of Caledon. The Committee acts to advise and provide input on accessibility standards in the Town and works for an inclusive Caledon.

Membership
The Accessibility Advisory Committee is comprised of five members of the public that identify as a person with a disability and/or identify as being familiar with issues affecting people with disabilities. Councillor Mario Russo is the Council representative for this Committee.
