Community Services

Community Services includes School Resource Officers, Community Response Officers, Community Safety and Media Relation Officer.

Our focus is continued engagement with the community through outreach programs and education.

Programs that are offered by the Caledon OPP:

  • OPP K.I.D.S. (Knowledge, Issues, Decisions and Supports)
  • OPP Positive Ticketing Program
  • Youth Leadership Program
  • Crime Stoppers Program
  • R.I.D.E. enforcement and education programs
  • Neighbourhood Watch Program
  • Lock it or Lose it Auto Theft Prevention
  • SafeGuard Ontario Property Security Program
  • Fraud, senior safety, online safety and cyber-bullying, traffic and pedestrian safety resources

Auxiliary Policing Services

OPP Auxiliary members receive specialized training to assist front-line officers on patrol, at community events, in crime prevention activities, and, at times, during emergency situations.

The Auxiliary Policing Unit attends community events such as the Santa Claus Parade, Fall Colours, Caledon Day festivities, Canada Day fireworks, Terry Fox Run, and many more.

The Auxiliary officers also facilitate the SafeGuard Ontario Property Security Program, a community-based crime prevention program that helps you to “lock criminals out of your home.”
