The Town has received proposed Draft Plan of Condominium, Zoning By-law Amendment and Site Plan applications.

 Current Status
  • There is a memo on the matter proceeding to Council on April 25, 2023. The purpose of the memo is to provide an update on the status of the Ontario Land Tribunal (OLT) hearing for the applications located at 0 and 18314 Hurontario Street, Caledon. The memo is for informational purposes and does not require a decision of Council. There will be an accompanying confidential report to Council at 3:00 p.m. 
  • Applicant has appealed all three applications as a decision on the applications had not been made within specified timelines in the Planning Act. For more information on the appeal, please visit the Ontario Land Tribunal's website.
  • The applicant provided formal notice of the Case Management Conference in accordance with the Ontario Land Tribunal Procedures.  The Case Management Conference was held on May 20, 2022 and August 5, 2022. During the Case Management Conference the Town was granted party status.
  • Updates about the case including the procedural order are available on the Ontario Land Tribunal Website.
  • A Settlement Hearing was held on April 26, 2023. The Interim Order is available on the Ontario Land Tribunal Website.

The subject lands are located at 0 and 18314 Hurontario Street. The lands are located on the west side of Hurontario Street, south of Charleston Sideroad in Caledon Village.

Zoning By-law Amendment

The Zoning By-law Amendment proposes to amend the zoning of the property from Rural Residential (RR) to Townhouse Residential – Exception XXX (RT-XXX) to permit site specific standards to implement a development consisting of 30 condominium townhouse dwellings.

The Draft Plan of Condominium application is currently incomplete. Once the application is deemed complete, notice will be provided and the website will be updated with details.
