Chinguacousy Road Improvements Class Environmental Assessment

November 29, 2024 

The Town of Caledon has completed a Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Class EA) for improvements to Chinguacousy Road between Mayfield Road and Old School Road. In addressing the need to reconstruct the road, the study recommended several improvements to intersections including:

• A new traffic signal at Tim Manley;
• Improved pedestrian and cyclist amenities including a new multi-use path; and
• Widening the road from two to four lanes.

The Study was conducted in compliance with Schedule ‘C’ of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (Municipal Engineers Association, as amended in 2015), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.

Environmental Study Report

An ESR has been prepared to document the planning and decision-making process for this study. By this Notice, the ESR is being placed on the public record for a 30-day review period from November 29, 2024, to December 28, 2024.
