Age-Friendly Advisory Committee
Purpose
The Age-Friendly Advisory Committee (AFAC) acts as a steering committee for the Town of Caledon's Age-Friendly Action Plan. Members advocate on behalf of older adult (55+) residents to ensure that residents are able to age well and age in place in the community by ensuring that there is housing, programs and services available.

Membership
The Age-Friendly Advisory Committee is comprised of six members of the public that have an interest, knowledge or hold expertise in matters relating to older adults.
Representatives from the Caledon Public Library, Caledon Seniors Centre, Caledon Meals on Wheels, Caledon Community Services and Abbeyfield Caledon participate as community liaisons in the Committee.
Caledon Regional Councillor Christina Early and Area Councillor Lynn Kiernan are the Council representatives for this Advisory Committee.
All members provide unique perspectives and input on municipal and other key issues and trends to enhance the quality of life of older adults in the Town of Caledon.
